Linda was born in Arkansas, raised in Texas and has lived all over the United States before settling in Madison, NC in 1972.
While growing up, she was a 4-H Club member and won awards for her writing and public speaking. She received the highest award in the Bowie County 4-H program that is awarded by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, the Gold Star Award.
In high school, she was editor of the school newspaper and wrote a play that was performed by the drama club students for the student body. She was a member of Future Homemakers of America and received the State Degree of Achievement at a ceremony in Dallas. It is the highest honor awarded an FHA member by the State of Texas. She was an honor student who graduated 9th in her senior class in 1966.
Although she has no formal training as a writer, she has enjoyed writing all her life. She is co-owner and editor of www.ebassfish.com an online magazine that promotes women anglers and the future of fishing.
She recently started her own cleaning and painting business after leaving an assistant manager job where she had been employed for 19 years.
She is married to husband, Dennis and has a son, David, who lives in Texas and daughter, Debbie and Grandson, Roberto, who live in Norfolk, VA.
