My name is Elena Lindsay and I currently live in Jacksonville, FL. I was raised in Miami, Fl and grew up fishing on the waters off the shores of Miami and the beautiful Florida Keys. I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t fishing. My parents use to tell me that they would put me in my playpen on the back of our boat and off we would go fishing with my 3 other siblings. To say fishing is in my blood is an understatement. My
father has been fishing his entire life, and since he’s now 82 that’s a lot of years with a lot of knowledge that he’s always shared. My brother is a guide in the Keys so I get a lot of great tips from him and of course taken to great spots "blindfolded" naturally.
I mainly saltwater fish but put me near any water and I’ll try to catch something. I particularly enjoy offshore fishing for yellowtail, snapper, dolphin, sailfish etc… but I will also try to catch those picky tarpon, bonefish, and permit when the season is right. I also like to dive and bulley net for lobster during lobster season. Basically, as you can see, any water related sport that has to do with fishing I enjoy doing.
I am married and have two boys, Reece who is 10 and Dylan who is 6. We have a flat boat and luckily for my husband and me the boys also love to fish. I’m new to writing fishing articles but I’ve got great fishing stories to tell which I hope you find enjoyable. Especially about the "big ones’ that got away. I always have those to tell. Looking forward to being a new member of the writing team!
