Tracey Stroup

Tracey L. Stroup, President and owner of Trained By Tracey Inc. has a B.S. Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from The Pennsylvania State University and is a Holistic Nutritional Consultant.

The knowledge and experience she gained through owning and operating her own successful personal training studio in her hometown of Altoona Pennsylvania, has enabled Tracey to learn first hand the potential each individual possesses to be better.

Tracey’s success has inspired her to expand the concepts of wellness beyond a studio and now the principles that she lives and teaches can be introduced to a broader base of people.

Trained By Tracey Inc. is now an on-line fitness consulting and life coaching company designed for the adult population, and Tracey’s own Healthy Kids Club is an exercise and nutritional program designed for children ages five to eighteen. But her services don’t end here!

Tracey is also the co-owner of the Spruce Creek Fly Co. with her husband; well known fly fishing guide and writer, Eric Stroup. Together, they introduce anglers to the wonderful sport of fly fishing in both central Pennsylvania and southwestern Montana. Combining their talents, they have expanded their already incredible services to include Fly Fishing Wellness Retreats for individuals, couples, women and executives. These retreats are designed to educate the individual in wellness concepts and principles through nutrition, exercise and yes……Fly Fishing.

Tracey’s exposure to fly fishing Montana’s high country prompted her to excel in yet another area of fitness. Through a close working relationship with some of the top hunting guides in Montana, she became a specialist and developed a high altitude conditioning program designed to get serious hunters in peak condition for their western hunting experience. In addition to High Altitude Conditioning Tracey designs programs for other outdoor sports including fly fishing. Her approach is Holistic in Nature not only assessing the physical condition of the person but their dietary regimen and hydration level. Currently, Tracey is working towards her Trigger Point Therapy Certification; proven method for overcoming soft-tissue pain. Outdoor sports and other activities can cause muscular imbalances and overuse injuries limiting or deterring the outdoor sportsman or woman from enjoying the activity they love so much. Through evaluation and treatment, many injuries can be alleviated with Trigger Point Therapy, proper nutrition/hydration and a well balance fitness program.

“Mrs. Stroup’s fifteen years of experience in the field of fitness, health and wellness has made her one of the most sought after trainers in the outdoor business and the personal attention she gives her clients is unmatched.”
