Life on the lagoon, weekends at the surf, and boating on the Barnegat Bay spawned a passion for fishing in this Jersey shore woman. From a young age, life on the water provided a cultured and untouchable appreciation, respect, and love for the outdoors and "the catch." Dedicated to a full-time writing/editing career, Gina-Louise spends what time she can reeling in mongrels from the salt to escape the hassles and burdens of deadlines.
Her and her father were inseparable, from fishing and sailing in the bay to coaching her in track and field in high school. Gina-Louise belongs to (USATF) USA Track & Field's Open division, following a four-year Division I athletic career with a scholarship for throwing the discus, shot put, hammer, and the
20 lb indoor weight. She graduated Rider University in May 2001 with a double B.A. in Journalism and American Studies, and a minor in Women's Studies.
Currently, she is Associate Editor at Engel Publishing Partners in Newtown, Pa., which publishes Med Ad News and R&D Directions magazines. She also has worked for the Courier News in Bridgewater, NJ. Gina-Louise is a self-proclaimed poet, essayist, and photographer and also freelances for various publications, especially pertaining to women's rights. "I firmly support a women's right to fish!"
Growing up on the shore made for a wonderful childhood, but after college, she migrated to the western part of the state for her career and recently bought a house by the Delaware river. The 25 year old hopes to become more acquainted with freshwater angling on the Delaware with her avid Pennsylvania angler man.
