Alpha Burly Sport Insulated by Lacrosse

Ladies, I believe I have just found the best boot on the market! If you are looking for comfort and durability, this line of boot is for you! Read on and find out why.

The Alpha Burly Sport comes in several insulation levels. The key is choosing the right one for you.

200 Gram- This is their lowest level of insulation. It is best for high activity such as hiking , working or shoveling.

400 Gram- This level is for moderate activity such as snowmobiling, 4-wheeling or chasing late season birds.

600-800 Gram- These levels are good for fairly cold conditions when the activity level is low. I use the 800 gram for early Oct. through early November Alabama Bow Season for Whitetails. I also use them for Alabama's Turkey Season in the spring. Great for those cold crisp morning when waiting for birds to come off of the roost.

900-1300 Gram- I know many of us gals have a hard time keeping our feet warm while treestand hunting. Sometimes foot warmers and wool socks just don't get the job done! For this, I would recommend the 1300. I tried this boot on a cold morning with degrees hitting low 20's and my feet were so toasty. I couldn't believe it- I had found a boot to that kept my feet warm!! This would also be a good boot to go fishing on cold northern ice!

Looking for a waterproof boot? Well, honey, this is another great feature of the Alpha Burly Sport. Lacrosse uses Gore-Tex®, which works a lot like your skin. Moisture is allowed to escape but it doesn't let any water in because it is a waterproof membrane made from many tiny pores that let the sweat escape. At the same time, the pores are too tiny to let water come in. Scent-Free Hyper-dri™ is a highly engineered, waterproof, yet breathable scent free guard that lines the boot to give it 100% protection!

Make no mistake, not all rubber boots are created equal. Lacrosse keeps their premium rubber formula under lock and key, but it does exist! Don't worry about laying a little extra "mula" down, because you ARE getting a premium rubber boot. Lacrosse had spent the last 100 years perfecting the science behind rubber boot making and they don't compromise quality.

Another one of the little features that make a big difference is the Black Gusset and Cam-Loc Buckle. It is designed to accommodate bulky clothing and cave sizes. That way you get a precise fit!

Don't forget arch support! At Lacrosse, they use three different kinds of shanks in their different lines of boot construction. The shank used for the Alpha Burly Sport is Fiberglass. It is a light weight option that provides protection from shocks to your arch (from stuff like stomping on a shovel all day).

Women's sizes, this is a big problem I have with most boots. Lacrosse does not carry all levels of insulation in women's sizes. They only carry the 800 gram in Women's Size. I will say this though, this boot "hugs" your feet and ankles so women would NOT have any problems wearing a men's size.
