After an uncomfortable night's sleep, I was up before my alarm.. I was up at 5:55am. I pulled on some warm clothes and headed to the screen tent to make some coffee. Thanks to Pete, I had an extension cord that reached my coffee pot! Frank came over 10 minutes or so later and offered me some eggs that I could cook. I declined, but thanks anyways Frank. I had a granola bar.
When the coffee was done, I took it over to Frank's camper to share with Pete. (Frank doesn't drink coffee.) Poor guy, he must have reminded up this 5 or 6 times, because, well, it would just slip to ask him if he wanted coffee. And OH MY.. this coffee was strong enough to put hair on your chest! wow! We drank it up anyways! :)
While siting in the camper, we heard Celeste yelling for me, so I went and found her some clothes.
The night before we had gone to the bathrooms and Celeste was not a "happy camper". The bathroom was loaded with spiders! Celeste hates/fears/loathes spiders. Especially daddy long legs or any spider that looks like one.. or, heck.. she is deathly afraid of them all!! After waking up and moving around, Frank let her use his bathroom. Naturally I had to search for spiders in it first, and it passed the test, NO SPIDERS.
She ate a yogurt for breakfast while Frank checked the weather, and Pete got ready for fishing.
The winds were not too promising this morning, so we decided to head to Watkins Glen to fish the docks there. Ok.. Frank and Pete were going there, I decided that the lake was too bumpy for Celeste, and we would tag along with them.
Ed stopped down to see what I thought about trolling the lake this am and I told him my thoughts about Celeste. He agreed and was more than happy to just sit back with the 2 pieces of apple pie that Celeste gave him to take home. Good thing Ed was there to put that pie out of it's misery that morning.
Chuck and Byron had to go to Pa to get Byron's car that had broke down. So this is why Chuck was not around this morning.
After seeing Ed head off back up the hill, we struck out in separate cars for the south shore of Seneca.

Down at the rocks.. Celeste was the first cast with a worm and a bobber...
First cast.....

First fish!! Nice smallmouth bass Celeste!

We were told that the Pike were biting, so the rest of us fished for Pike.

We three adults struck out.. nothing.
Celeste caught a small largemouth bass and a Pumpkinseed. She also caught this nice stick-fish! :)

Time to eat some potato chips and then fish some more!!!!

Well, once before we saw the rain head south on the lake and it turned back north... but the second time it headed down the lake, we packed up and headed back to camp. Pete and Frank took a detour to go pick up fresh made, pre-ordered GRAPE PIE!
to be continued.........
