As a huntress I have had a hard time finding hunting boots made for women and usually have to wear a hunting boot from the men’s department. I have tried several different types of boots over the years and none have worked well for me. Some would wear out after only one season, some would not keep my feet dry and warm although they should have, and others were never comfortable no matter how much I wore them to break them in. With the whitetail deer season fast approaching I began my search for new hunting boots, after doing some research and talking to several friends I chose the Hawk Boots by Danner®.

Although I liked the look of the boots from the beginning, the true test would be when the season started. Like most new shoes the boots were a little stiff in the beginning, I started wearing the boots a little every day in hopes that by the time the season arrived the boots would be comfortable. I soon had the comfort I needed and was ready for the start of deer season.
I was extremely pleased at how well the Hawks did for me during the season. They were the right fit for my feet, so I did not have to protect my feet from getting blistered. The traction on these boots allows for a steady step even when walking in snow or mud. These boots kept my feet warm and toasty all through out the season without having to double up on socks. When in the rain or snow my feet stayed dry even after the moisture covered my boots. The comfort and durability of the boots is amazing, even now that the season is over the boots look new. I have finally found the perfect boots for me.
