Attenion all anglers! Alot of you have been pegging your bullet and egg sinker with a tooth pick. When you are fishing a Texas or Carolina Rig, stop and think for a minute. The wood on the toothpick is rubbing the mono line and it will fray. It would be like running it over rocks or logs. The line will get weak and you do not want it to break with maybe the State Record on.
I have shown you in the picture a bullet weight pegged with a toothpick. However, below that is what I recommend and that is the "T-Stop" made of rubber. You can also use a rubberband. It will do the same.
Thread it through the weight until it gets real tight, then snip off the two ends. I have found this to be true with mono line and if you are using braided line, I would say it does not matter if you use a toothpick or the rubber T stop.
