Patricia Strutz is a musky fishing guide in Northern Wisconsin. Her guide service is called "A Blond and Her Boat." She is also an instructor at Guide's Choice Fishing Schools (Wisconsin, Minnesota and Canada) and an outdoor writer for numerous magazines. Although she fishes out of an 18' Crestliner Fishhawk, one of her favorite ways to fish is by using the nostalgic technique of row trolling. She has a specialty rowboat suited for this purpose. She gets in, works the oars and catches a lot of nice fish!
Patricia notes that this is a great way for ladies to fish. "Many women love the silent sports of canoeing and kayaking. Row trolling just adds in the chance to catch fish. It's a wonderful sport."
It is truly a mission of Patricia's to get more women on the water. She is very active in these endeavors. She strives to encourage, educate and provide opportunities in this arena. Many of her articles and seminars (at trade shows and at clubs) center on this topic. She was brought on as an instructor at the fishing schools to help encourage more female participation. All the schools are unisex (www.guideschoicefishingschools.com); however, this summer they will even be offering an All Women's Musky Fishing School. It will include boating and fishing instruction.
She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jim Behm. The couple lives in Eagle River (northeastern Wisconsin) where they fish, bike, hike, bow hunt, trap shoot and just generally enjoy the great outdoors.

Patricia loves to network with other female anglers and is excited about becoming part of "WomenAnglers."
