Steamed Tuna Fish

2 lbs fresh tuna steaks

½ cup soy sauce

½ cup sherry

½ cup vegetable oil

1 bunch green onions finely chopped

½ cup minced fresh ginger root

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

1 tsp ground black pepper

Place tuna steaks in a steamer over 1 inch of boiling water and cover. Cook 6 to 8 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Meanwhile in a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, sherry, oil, green onions, gingerm salt and pepper. Bring to boil.

Remove tuna steaks from steamer and place in serving dish. Pour sauce over tuna steaks and serve immediately.
